São descritos sistemas e métodos para manufaturar folhas contínuas compósitas incluindo um substrato (10), com uma ou mais regiões poliméricas discretas (14) localizadas sobre ele. As regiões poliméricas discretas (14) são depositadas transferindo-se composição termoplástica fundida das depressões (34) de um rolo de transferência (30) para um substrato (10). Cada uma das regiões poliméricas discretas (14) é ainda moldada para incluir múltiplas estruturas (12) moldadas nela. Essas estruturas podem incluir, por exemplo, hastes (capeadas ou de outro modo), ganchos (como parte de um sistema de fixação de gancho e laço, pirâmides etc.
