Abstract
"IMPLANTE PARA FIXAÇÃO DE UM OSSO, MECANISMO PARA ACOPLAR UM PRIMEIRO IMPLANTE DE FIXAÇÃO DE FRATURA A UM SEGUNDO IMPLANTE DE FIXAÇÃO DE FRATURA, E, SISTEMA DE IMPLANTE PARA FIXAÇÃO DE UM OSSO FRATURADO". Um implante para fixação de um osso inclui um eixo tendo uma extremidade proximal e uma extremidade distal, e um eixo longitudinal definido entre a extremidade proximal e a extremidade distal. Uma pluralidade de lâminas está disposta no eixo, e são torcidas helicoidalmente sobre o eixo longitudinal. Pelo menos uma das lâminas tem uma largura de lâmina variável que aumenta em uma direção ao longo do eixo longitudinal. Um mecanismo para acoplar o implante a um segundo implante de fixação de fratura pode ser provido separadamente ou em combinação.
