Abstract
"IMPLANTE DE LENTE INTRA-OCULAR TENDO CAPACIDADES DE ACOMODAÇÃO NO OLHO". A presente invenção refere-se a uma lente intra-ocular aperfeiçoada (28), a qual mais intimamente imita a acomodação e focagem da lente natural do olho. A lente (28) inclui uma parte óptica central (30) junto com um elemento de posicionamento resiliente (38) incluindo uma pluralidade de pernas de posicionamento separadas (44) com aberturas (46) entre elas. O elemento (38) é configurado de modo que o segmento equatorial (48) do mesmo é mantido em contato substancial com pelo menos uma parte da porção equatorial correspondente (27) da cápsula (20), durante essencialmente todas as orientações da lente (28) dentro da cápsula (20). Uma membrana fina (56) pode ser usada para cobrir as aberturas (46) para dessa maneira impedir a passagem das células para dentro da lente (28).
