Abstract
"COMPOSTOS HETEROCÍCLICOS E SEUS USOS COMO INIBIDORES DE D-ALANIL, D-ALANINA LIGASE". A invenção baseia-se na descoberta de uma nova classe de compostos heterocíclicos tendo, por exemplo, propriedades antibacterianas. A enzima D-Ala-D-Ala ligase é uma enzima de via crítica na síntese de parede celular bacteriana. O compostos podem se ligar a e inibir a enzima D-Ala-D-Ala ligase. A atividade dos novos compostos combinada com sua capacidade de reticular membranas celulares bacterianas torna-os adequados para uso como fármacos antibacterianos ou em outras aplicações antibacterianas.
