A presente invenção refere-se a N-[1-oxo-(opcionalmente 2-aza)-2-alquil-3-(carboxila ou tiol ou hidroxiaminocarbonila ou N-hidroxiformamido)-propil]-(arila ou heteroaril)-azaciclo~ 4-7~ alcanos ou tiazaciclo~ 4-7~ alcanos, sais ou pró-drogas do composto que apresentam propriedades interessantes, por exemplo, no tratamento ou prevenção de distúrbios receptivos a tratamento através de inibidores de peptidil desformilase tal como tratamento de infecções bacterianas.
