"MÉTODO PARA PRODUZIR UMA BATERIA TENDO UM CATODO 5 E, CATODO PARA UMA BATERIA DE METAL-AR". Um método para produzir uma bateria tendo um catodo inclui contatar as partículas de carbono com um agente de oxidação, tal como, por exemplo, um ácido inorgânico, um ácido orgânico, ou um gás oxidante, e incorporar as partículas de carbono no catodo. O catodo pode ser usado, por exemplo, em uma bateria metal-ar, que inclui um catodo de camada única ou de camada dupla, ou em uma célula de combustível.
