A presente invenção refere-se a dispositivos acendedores cerâmicos, e, mais particularmente, a tais dispositivos que contenham duas ou mais regiões de zona quente segregadas que são eletricamente conectadas, como, por exemplo, em série ou em paralelo. Estes dispositivos são adequadamente incorporados em uma variedade de dispositivos, incluindo os filtros de combustível a diesel.
