Abstract
"FONTE DE ENERGIA ELETROQUÍMICA NÃO HERMETICAMENTE SELADA, CARTUCHO DE BATERIA, E, BATERIA". Uma fonte de energia eletroquímica, não hermeticamente selada, inclui um primeiro eletrodo, um segundo eletrodo, um separador entre o primeiro eletrodo e o segundo eletrodo, e uma membrana em comunicação fluídica com um ambiente externo à bateria. O segundo eletrodo está entre o separador e a membrana. A membrana inclui uma primeira porção tendo uma diferente propriedade, por exemplo, densidade, porosidade, resistência ao transporte de massa, espessura, ou permeabilidade a gás, que uma segunda porção da membrana. Métodos de projetar um cartucho de célula eletroquímica são também descritos.
