Abstract
"SISTEMA AUTOMATIZADO E MÉTODO PARA A RETIRADA DE COMPOSTOS DO SANGUE". Sistemas automatizados (10) e métodos para a retirada de um composto selecionado do sangue são descritos. Os sistemas e métodos utilizam um circuito de fluido descartável (50) montado em um componente (ou módulo) de peça metálica reutilizável (12). O sistema retira sangue de um doador ou paciente, separa o sangue em dois ou mais componentes e ainda combina o componente separado com um solvente de modo a remover um composto do componente sangüíneo.
