"COMPOSIÇÕES FARMACÊUTICAS PARA O TRATAMENTO DE AFECÇÕES CUTÂNEAS CAUSADAS POR Candida spp E FUNGOS DERMATÓFITOS E USO DO ÓLEO VOLÁTIL DE C. citratus NAS DITAS COMPOSIÇÕES". São descritas composições farmacêuticas sob forma de emulsões, géis e nanocápsulas contendo uma proporção farmacologicamente ativa de óleo volátil de Cymbopogon citratus, as composições sendo úteis para o tratamento de afecções cutâneas causadas por leveduras de Candida spp. e vários fungos dermatófitos como Epidermophyton floccusum, Microsporum canis e Trichophyton rubrum. O processo de tratamento das afecções cutâneas se faz pelo contato das leveduras ou fungos com as formulações da invenção e envolve a inibição do crescimento ou morte das leveduras de Candida spp. e/ou dos fungos dermatófitos.
