"PROCESSO PARA PREPARAÇÃO DE COPOLÍMEROS DE ISOOLEFINAS". A presente invenção refere-se a um novo processo para preparação de copolímeros de isoolefina na presença de halogenetos de zircônio e/ou halogenetos de háfnio e halogenetos ácidos orgânicos, particularmente para preparação de borrachas de butila, assim como copolímeros de isoolefina preparados a partir de isobuteno, isopreno e opcionalmente outros monômeros.
