"ACOPLAMENTO MECÂNICO DIRETO". O invento objetiva minimizar inconveniências do acoplamento por fricção e das engrenagens de dentes tradicionais, como o elevado custo de fabricação e manutenção, o excesso de peso e de ocupação de espaço, o atrito e os conseqüentes ruídos, e consiste na substitução do acoplamento por fricção, das engrenagens ou dos seus dentes por corpos esferóides ou de esferas propriamente ditas que virtualmente deslizam para assegurar eficiência máxima e atrito mínimo na conversão do torque entre os elementos acoplados.
