É revelada uma composição de matéria que compreende um composto da fórmula (Z-N=) ~ 2~Mo (S~ 2~CNR~ 2~)~ 2~ em que Z e R são selecionados independentemente do grupo consistindo em grupos de hidrocarbonetos lineares, grupos de hidrocarbonetos ramificados, grupos de hidrocarbonetos cíclicos, e suas misturas. Os compostos são úteis como modificadores de fricção em lubrificantes.
