"MÉTODO E SISTEMA PARA LIBERAÇÃO ELETROCINÉTICA DE UMA SUBSTÂNCIA". Um sistema eletrocinético (300) para liberação de uma substância em tecido inclui uma fonte de corrente alternada (308) de uma freqüência predeterminada. Um primeiro eletrodo é acoplado a um primeiro terminal da fonte de corrente alternada e um segundo eletrodo é acoplado a um segundo terminal da fonte de corrente alternada. Um circuito retificador é acoplado entre o primeiro eletrodo e o primeiro terminal da fonte de corrente alternada. Um dos primeiro e segundo eletrodos é adaptado para contato elétrico com um local de liberação de substância. Uma corrente retificada pelo circuito retificador escoa em um caminho de corrente, entre os primeiro e segundo eletrodos, quando um dos primeiro e segundo eletrodos está em contato elétrico com o local de liberação de substância, para fazer a liberação da substância no tecido.
