Está descrita uma composição de combustível que é substancialmente livre de compostos alcoxilados e é substancialmente livre de álcoois alquila de cadeia longa que têm pelo menos 6 átomos de C, e contém pelo menos 95% em volume de um combustível baseado em hidrocarboneto e 0,1 a 5% em volume de um aditivo da fórmula (I): R-CO-NR^ 1^R^ 2^ (I) em que R é um radical alquila saturado ou insaturado, linear ou ramificado que tem 6 a 21 átomos de C; e R^ 1^ e R^ 2^, que podem ser o mesmo ou diferentes, cada um representa um radical hidroxialquila que tem 1 a 4 átomos.
