É revelado um filtro que inclui um elemento filtrante cilíndrico possuindo um eixo longitudinal, uma periferia externa, uma periferia interna e uma pluralidade de pregas longitudinais dispostas em arranjo espiral bem próximas umas às outras Cada uma das pregas possui um par de pernas, e as pernas de cada uma são unidas uma à outra em uma raiz. As raízes de pregas adjacentes ficam radialmente espaçadas uma da outra ao redor da periferia interna do elemento filtrante.
