Abstract

"PROCESSO PAPA REMOVER COMPOSTOS DE ENXOFRE DE COMBUSTÍVEIS". É descrito um processo para dessulfurizar combustíveis tais como óleo diesel e produtos de petróleo semelhantes para reduzir o teor de enxofre para uma faixa de cerca de 2 a 15 ppm de enxofre. O combustível contendo enxofre é contactado em temperaturas ligeiramente elevadas com uma solução oxidante/extratora de ácido fórmico, uma pequena quantidade de peróxido de hidrogênio, e nao mais do que cerca de 25% de água. Também é descrito um processo de remoção para separar os produtos de oxidação de dibenzotiofeno substituído do combustível.
