A presente invenção se refere a processos de tratamento de condições e/ou de sintomas relacionados com o resfriado comum do trato respiratório superior e/ou inferior e/ou dos olhos. A presente invenção se refere especificamente a processos de tratamento de condições e/ou de sintomas relacionados com o resfriado comum compreendendo a administração de um flavonóide ou a administração de um flavonóide em combinação com um metal. A presente invenção descreve ainda composições que compreendem um metal e um flavonóide e que são úteis para o tratamento de condições e/ou de sintomas relacionados com o resfriado comum.
