A presente invenção refere-se a um dispositivo de fechamento de cordão umbilical compreendendo uma correia alongada (20) conectada em uma extremidade a um meio de fixação (10), a correia (20) e o meio de fixação (10) tendo um meio cooperativo para engate de modo a formar um laço que se pode apertar para o recebimento de um cordão umbilical.
