Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA ESTABELECER UMA CONEXÃO EM UM SISTEMA DE COMUNICAÇÃO SEM FIO". A presente invenção refere-se a dois dispositivos, por exemplo, um PDA (10) e um telefone móvel (12), é inicialmente estabelecida utilizando um canal ponto-a-ponto, tal como por sinalização infravermelha, antes de comutar para um canal RF de difusão para a transferência de dados. Conseqüentemente, dispositivos podem ser adicionados a uma rede sem fio facilmente em um ambiente contendo muitos dispositivos que estão disponíveis para se associarem com uma rede sem fio.
