A invenção refere-se a um método para produzir complexos metalocenos racêmicos por reação de complexos de metal de transição, ligados em ponte ou não ligados em ponte, com derivados de ciclopentadienila de metais alcalinos ou alcalino terrosos e opcionalmente, subseqüentemente, substituir os ligandos fenolatos.
