Abstract
"COMPOSIÇÃO FARMACÊUTICA ESTÉRIL, USO DA MESMA, E, MÉTODO PARA MELHORAR A SOBREVIVÊNCIA DE UM PACIENTE DOENTE EM ESTADO CRÍTICO". A invenção refere-se a composições farmacêuticas estéreis para administração parenteral que compreendem uma emulsão de óleo-em-água em que um agente sedativo de expulsão de radical livre dissolvido em um solvente imiscível em água rico em ômega-3, é emulsificado com água e estabilizado por meio de um tensoativo, a composição sendo adequada diretamente ou após diluição com um diluente líquido para administração parenteral a um animal de sangue quente; em particular a tais composições que compreendem propofol e que opcionalmente também compreendem um agente de quelação de íon de metal (tal como edetato) e ao uso de tais composições para melhorar a sobrevivência de pacientes doentes em estado crítico.
