Abstract

"DISPOSITIVO OFTÁLMICO, E, MÉTODO PARA IMPLANTE ATRAVÉS DE UMA INCISÃO NO OLHO, DE UM DISPOSITIVO OFTÁLMICO". São apresentados dispositivos oftálmicos adequados para a implantação no olho através de pequenas incisões. Estes dispositivos são feitos de uma composição compreendendo materiais poliméricos cristalinos ou semicristalinos que têm uma temperatura de transição de vidro (Tg) de cerca de -100 C até cerca de 20 C, uma temperatura de ponto de fusão (Tm) de cerca de 0 C até cerca de 37 C, e onde a Tg para o material é menor do que a Tm para a composição. Os dispositivos apresentados incluem lentes intraoculares, implantes da córnea, dispositivos de introdução de drogas oculares e implantes para a redução da pressão intra-ocular em pacientes de glaucoma; as lentes intraoculares são preferidas.
