Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA A OBTENÇÃO DE POLIHIDROXIALCANOATOS (PHA) OU SEUS COPOLÍMEROS E UTILIZAÇÃO DE AGENTES DE REDUÇÃO". A invenção refere-se a um método enzimáticoquímico para a obtenção de Polihidroxialcanoatos (PHA), especialmente, polihidroxibutirato (PHB) ou seus copolímeros. O método inventivo compreende o tratamento químico da biomassa com um agente redutor que reduz os componentes celulares não-PHA da biomassa. O tratamento químico é realizado antes e/ou após a disrupção enzimática da célula. O método inventivo permite, diferentemente de outras técnicas de disrupção de célula, obter-se polihidroxialcanoatos a partir da biomassa com teor de PHA relativamente baixo (por exemplo, < 60%) sem alterar ou deteriorar drasticamente as propriedades ou a pureza do polímero.
