"PROCESSO PARA A PRODUÇÃO DE BISFENOL A". Na produção de bisfenol A por condensação de fenol e acetona com o uso de uma resina de troca de cátions como um catalisador e um mercaptano livre como um promotor, a velocidade superficial da matéria-prima dentro de uma coluna de reação recheada com uma resina de troca de cátions é controlada para estar na faixa de 1,5 m/hora até 6 m/hora. Com este processo, o grau de conversão de fenol pode ser melhorado e o bisfenol A pode ser produzido com eficiência.
