Abstract
"MANGA DE PISTÃO". Trata-se de uma manga de pistão (10) que possui uma superfície de posicionamento radial (32) adjacente à superfície do topo (16) e uma superfície de posicionamento axial (38) separada da superfície de posicionamento radial por meio de uma superfície de contato refrigerante (46). Um orifício de pistão estendido pelo comprimento da manga de pistão (10) é usinado para formar um orifício não-cilíndrico. A manga é comprimida aplicando-se força na superfície de topo (16) e na superfície de posicionamento axial (38). A manga de pistão (10) também é aquecida até uma temperatura de trabalho normal. A força de compressão e a força devida à expansão térmica deforma a manga de pistão e muda o orifício não-cilíndrico formando um orifício substancialmente cilíndrico.
