A invenção refere-se a uma composição em batelada para preparação de um corpo cerâmico moldado refratário, a um corpo moldado formado a partir dela, e a seu uso. Os componentes são: 68 até 97% em peso de magnesita fundida, magnesita sinterizada ou suas misturas, 3 até 20% em peso de CaO, e 0 até 25% em peso de um terceiro componente.
