A invenção é um método aperfeiçoado para reduzir ou eliminar o uso do tabaco e da dependência da nicotina associada com o uso do tabaco mediante diminuir gradualmente um consumo individual de tabaco durante um período de tempo ao mesmo tempo em que se substitui a nicotina proveniente do tabaco com uma fonte alternativa de nicotina.
