"APARELHO CONFIGURADO PARA FICAR LOCALIZADO EM UMA ARMAÇÃO DE UM SUPORTE DE PACIENTE". Um aparelho é configurado para ficar localizado em uma armação (18, 118) de suporte de paciente (12, 112), a armação (18, 118) possuindo uma superfície de topo configurada para suportar um paciente (171), a superfície de topo possuindo uma dimensão de comprimento e uma dimensão de largura (54, 170). O aparelho inclui uma cobertura (10, 110) posicionada sobre a armação (18, 118) de suporte de paciente (12, 112), a cobertura (10, 110) possuindo uma superfície superior (36, 136) para suportar o paciente (171) e uma superfície inferior configurada para encostar na superfície de topo do suporte de paciente (12, 112). A cobertura (10, 110) possui uma dimensão de largura (52, 169) maior que a dimensão de largura (54, 170) da superfície de topo. Um retentor (70, 192) mantém a cobertura (10, 110) em uma posição desejada na armação (12, 112).
