O implante protético (10) inclui uma gaiola (12) tendo paredes de topo (20), fundo (30), terminal frontal (40), terminal posterior (50), primeira lateral (60) e segunda lateral (70). A primeira parede lateral (60) tem uma superfície arqueada. As paredes de topo (20) e fundo (30) incluem uma ou mais cristas (80) para acoplar uma superfície de uma vértebra adjacente. As paredes de topo (20) e fundo (30) também incluem uma abertura (100), para receber um material de recheio (300), tal como remédio, tecido humano e assemelhados. As paredes de topo (20) e fundo (30) também se inclinam, simultaneamente, em duas dIreções.
