Abstract
"SISTEMAS E PROCESSOS PARA REDUZIR A PRESSÃO INTRAOCULAR". A presente invenção apresenta sistemas e processos para reduzir a pressão intraocular, dessa forma, tratar glaucoma e outros distúrbios. Os sistemas da presente invenção incluem uma derivação inserível através da córnea clara e um dispositivo de introdução para inserir a derivação na posição transcorneana. A derivação tem um corpo com uma cabeça em uma extremidade e um pé na extremidade oposta, e um canal através dele permitindo a passagem de humor aquoso da câmara anterior para a superfície externa da córnea. Um filtro removível é posicionado dentro do canal para regular o fluxo de saída de humor aquoso e para resistir à incursão de microorganismos.
