Patente de Invenção: "DISPOSITIVO DE MICROCURVATURA DE FIBRA ÓTICA FLEXÍVEL, SENSORES E MÉTODO DE USO". É proporcionado um dispositivo flexível de microcurvatura para fixação em uma fibra ótica. O dispositivo compreende uma grade de elementos de curvatura superiores tendo pelo menos um elemento flexível e uma grade de elementos de curvatura inferiores tendo pelo menos um elemento flexível. A grade de elementos de curvatura superiores encaixa, alternativamente, a grade de elementos de curvatura inferiores. O dispositivo flexível de microcurvatura é preso a uma fibra ótica para formar um sensor. O sensor pode ser embutido em um material hospedeiro ou preso a uma estrutura para detectar vários esforços ou cepas.
