Com cristalizador operando em separado da unidade de secagem, sendo esta, composta por uma torre ou silo que recebe uma corrente de ar aquecido e desumidificado em regime aberto ou semi-fechado e em contra-fluxo à descida do PET, que pode ser tipo flake ou lentilhas, onde a torre está montada sobre um caracol ou esteira transportadora que transfere o material seco e cristalizado para uma extrusora para ser conformado, extrusado, injetado etc.
