Abstract

"PROCESSO PARA A CALCINAÇÃO DE MATERIAL CONTENDO CARBONATO". Em um processo para a calcinação de material contendo carbonato, este se desloca por gravidade na contracorrente ao ar de resfriamento e de combustão através de um forno de cuba. O fornecimento de combustivel se produz no caso através de lanças de calcinação que se estendem transversalmente à parede de cuba e são empurradas para dentro do material granulado a ser calcinado. Limitando-se a granulometria e o tempo de permanência este tipo de fornecimento de combustível, são possíveis temperaturas de calcinação altas de até calcinação forte, sem que ocorra sinterização do material granulado a ser calcinado.
