De acordo com a invenção, é provido o uso de melagatran, ou um seu derivado farmaceuticamente aceitável, para a manufatura de um medicamento para o tratamento de distúrbios isquêmicos em pacientes tendo ou sob o risco de ter fibrilação atrial não-valvular.
