Métodos para induzir respostas imunes em indivíduos contra um patógeno são divulgados. Os métodos para tratar indivíduos suscetíveis a ou que sofrem de uma doença associada com um defeito genético que resulta na não produção ou produção insuficiente de uma proteína ou a produção de uma proteína que não funciona ou que funciona parcialmente são divulgados. Os métodos para liberar uma proteína a um indivíduo são divulgados. Composições farmacêuticas que compreendem cosmídeos são divulgadas.
