Abstract
"MÉTODO E COMPOSIÇÃO PARA TRATAMENTO E/OU PREVENÇÃO DE INFECÇÕES DE MICROORGANISMO RESISTENTE A ANTIBIÓTICOS". A presente invenção refere-se a uma nova composição, uso e método para melhorar a cura de infecções causadas por patógenos microbiais resistentes a antibióticos, em particular microorganismos resistentes a beta-lactam. Lactoferrina (LF) ou Lactoferricina (LFC) pode ser administrada sozinha ou em combinação com antibiótico para afetar o desenvolvimento, a fisiologia e a morfologia do microorganismo alvo. A lactoferrina aumenta a susceptibilidade e pode reverter a resistência de microorganismos a antibióticos.
