A presente invenção refere-se a componentes de espuma compreendendo material polimérico e um ingrediente ativo, tal como ingredientes detergentes, os quais devem ser liberados para ambiente aquoso. Ingredientes ativos altamente preferenciais incluem enzimas. O componente de espuma é estável em contato com ar mas se dissolve, desintegra ou dispersa em água. A invenção também refere-se a composições contendo os componentes de espuma e métodos para preparar os componentes de espuma.
