A presente invenção refere-se a artigos elásticos, que compreendem uma matriz polimérica e um ingrediente ativo, tais como ingredientes detergentes, a serem fornecidos, tipicamente, a um meio aquoso. Ingredientes ativos altamente preferidos incluem enzimas. Um artigo elástico preferido é uma espuma, que é estável no contato com ar, mas que se dissolve, se desintegra ou se dispersa em água. A invenção também refere-se a composições que contêm os artigos e a métodos para produzir os artigos.
