Uma bomba (10) tendo um alojamento geralmente oco (12), um rotor anular (62) montado rotativamente dentro do alojamento (12), um estator anular (54) montado fixamente dentro do alojamento (12) e circundando perifericamente o rotor (62), e um impulsor fechado (16) alinhado axialmente com o rotor anular (62). O impulsor (16) inclui um elemento de entrada de fluido tubular (26) montado fixamente dentro do rotor anular (62), de modo que o rotor (62) aciona rotativamente o impulsor (16).
