Uma alimentação de óleo base, tendo uma tendência a formar uma turvação em temperaturas ambientes ou sub-ambientes, é contatada com um adsorvente sólido para remover pelo menos uma parte dos precursores turvos, desse modo reduzindo a tendência à formação de turvação da alimentação de óleo base.
