Abstract
"APARELHO E PROCESSO PARA AUMENTAR FUNÇÃO CARDÍACA, E, PROCEDIMENTO CIRÚRGICO PARA INSTALAR UM DISPOSITIVO DE ASSISTÊNCIA VENTRICULAR ESQUERDA PARA AUMENTAR A FUNÇÃO CARDÍACA". Um aparelho e processo para aumentar função cardíaca. Características dimensionais do coração são modificadas de maneira cíclica engatando uma ligação entre no mínimo dois pontos sobre o miocárdio (51) do coração e variando de maneira cíclica o comprimento da ligação. Isto controla o espaçamento entre as partes engatadas do miocárdio (51) melhorando com isto a função cardíaca. A ligação pode se estender através da cavidade ventricular esquerda (1), ou entre pontos espaçados separados ao redor da cavidade ventricular esquerda (1).
