Seqüências de ácido nucléico e métodos são proporcionados para a produção de plantas e sementes tendo teor e composições alterados de tocoferol. Os métodos encontram uso particular no aumento dos níveis de tocoferol em plantas e no fornecimento de composições desejáveis de tocoferol em uma célula vegetal hospedeira.
