Abstract
"EMULSÃO, COMPOSIÇÃO FARMACÊUTICA, E, MÉTODO PARA PREPARAR UMA COMPOSIÇÃO FARMACÊUTICA DE EMULSÃO ÓLEO-EM-ÁGUA". Proporciona-se formulações de emulsões anestésicas intravenosas de propofol que contêm concentrações suficientemente baixas de óleo de soja para produzir uma emulsão estável e, simultaneamente, proporcionar nutrientes reduzidos que inibem crescimento microbiano, desta forma proporcionando proteção contaminação microbiana acidental durante infusões IV prolongadas. Adicionalmente à inibição de crescimento microbiano devido a uma redução de nutrientes, a formulação apresenta inibição adicional inesperada devido a uma maior disponibilidade de propofol. A baixa concentração de óleo de soja também proporciona uma formulação que reduz as chances de sobrecarga de gordura quando administrada a pacientes cronicamente doentes durante um período prolongado.
