Abstract
"MÉTODO E EQUIPAMENTO PARA DETERMINAR A POSIÇÃO DE UM TELEFONE CELULAR". Um método e um equipamento para determinar a posição (116) de uma estação remota, tal como um telefone celular móvel, usando medições de retardo relativo e alcance absoluto. Mais particularmente, a invenção determina a posição de uma estação remota (116) usando uma combinação de medições de ligação enviada efetuadas na estação remota (116) e medições de ligação de retorno efetuadas em uma ou mais estações base (106, 108). Tais medições são usadas para efetuar cálculos que propiciam a posição da estação remota (116). Um equipamento efetuando os cálculos pode usar informações a priori sobre a localização exata de todas as estações base participantes na determinação da localização da unidade móvel, bem como calibragens de retardos inerentes associados às estações base.
