Abstract
"FREIO OU EMBREAGEM POR ATRITO". O freio por atrito apresenta um revestimento de freio, cuja chapa portadora (3) é dotada de um revestimento de atrito (2). Do material da chapa portadora (1) são trabalhados dois ressonadores (3) , deslocados diagonalmente entre si. A sua freqüência própria é ajustada para a freqüência de excitação, induzida por fricção, da chapa portadora (1), sendo as áreas dos ressonadores (3) dimensionadas de tal maneira, que as ondas sonoras geradas fiquem fora do alcance do ouvido humano. os ressonadores (3) consomem a energia de oscilação introduzida na chapa portadora (1), sem gerar ruídos audíveis. Portanto, o freio é acusticamente tranqüilizado.
