Abstract
"DISPOSITIVO PARA APOIO DE CABEÇA E PESCOÇO PARA CRIANÇAS". Um dispositivo para suporte (10) adequado para recém-nascidos incluindo bebês prematuros compreende uma estrutura em formato de sonho apresentando um invólucro preenchido com gel (12) com cerca de cinco a seis polegadas de diâmetro externo com uma abertura central (18) com cerca de duas a três polegadas de diâmetro. A estrutura proporciona um tubo anular apresentando um diâmetro de cerca de 1 a 2 polegadas. A seção transversal do tubo é preferencialmente circular na região posterior ou da cabeça (14) e preferencialmente achatada para proporcionar uma seção transversal genericamente oval na região anterior ou do pescoço (16). o invólucro (12) é preenchido com uma massa de gel viscoso (20) tal como gel de silicone ou elastômeros de silicone com redes de polisiloxano suficientemente interligadas para manter substancialmente um formato selecionado a despeito da força exercida por um peso incidente limitado.
