O processo para produção de escórias margosas e cimentos de escória margosa ou componentes de mistura para cimentos mistos de marga, com uma basicidade de CaO/SiO~ 2~ de < 2,0, prevê que marga argilosa ou uma mistura de marga e argila, com uma basicidade de < 2,0, seja seca, preaquecida e calcinada em um primeiro estágio de processo e que, subseqüentemente, o produto obtido seja fundido em um segundo estágio de processo, em um forno de fusão separado, a temperaturas mais altas do que no primeiro estágio de processo e granulado da fusão.
