Abstract

Resumo da Patente de Invenção para "PROCESSO DE SELAGEM E APARELHO DE PRENSA". A invenção se refere a um processo e aparelho para selagem a forma final da extremidade de um tubo de produto final (30) para eliminar refugo por uma extensa amplitude de formas da extremidade do produto. Uma ferramenta de selagem (18) tem um pescoço (64), e uma porção de acunhamento (60) compreendendo um ressalto estendendo-se para fora desde o pescoço (64). A ferramenta de selagem (18) é inserida na extremidade deformada do tubo (30), enquanto a extremidade é lateralmente engajada por meio de um retentor (16) pressionando para dentro contra a superfície externa do tubo (30). A extremidade é então selada por meio de uma superfície de acunhamento do tubo (30) por pressionar lateralmente a extremidade com o retentor (16).
