Abstract
"QUITOSANA E SEU MÉTODO DE PREPARAÇÃO". Trata-se de uma quitosana altamente desacetilada obtida a partir de biomassa microbiana, um método de obtenção de quitosana a partir de biomassa microbiana, e biomassa para produção da quitosana são apresentados. O método inclui o fornecimento de biomassa contendo quitina; reagir a biomassa contendo quitina em uma solução cáustica com concentração de álcali maior do que 25%; à temperatura de reação maior do que 95 C, para um período de reação de no mínimo 10 horas, para converter a quitina da biomassa em quitosana; e separando a quitosana da solução cáustica.
